That means Mbappe’s Ligue 1 career is considered over. The French star’s last match in France’s highest division was the encounter with Toulouse in round 33. In this match, Mbappe contributed 1 goal but PSG still lost 1-3.

The match between Metz and PSG in round 34 of Ligue 1 takes place at 02:00 on May 20 (Vietnam time). Coach Luis Enrique only brought 20 players, with many key players missing including Kylian Mbappe, Ousmane Dembele, Vitinha, Marquinhos, Fabian Ruiz and Gianluigi Donnarumma. According to sources from Canal+, the Spanish coach allowed the main players to rest before returning to practice next Tuesday.

Mbappe will join Real Madrid next season and unless this striker returns to Ligue 1 after many years, it can be said that Mbappe’s career in the highest division of the continent has ended. The French star still has one last match for PSG, which is the French national cup final against Lyon on May 25.

Mbappe made his Ligue 1 debut in December 2015 in a 1-1 draw between Monaco and Caen. At the age of 16 years and 347 days, Mbappe broke Thierry Henry’s record to become the youngest player in Monaco history to play in Ligue 1.

In 9 seasons in Ligue 1, Mbappe was most explosive in the 2018/19 season with 33 goals. With a total of 191 goals, Mbappe is currently ranked 7th on the list of most accomplished goalscorers in Ligue 1. The record belongs to Delio Onnis with 299 goals in the period 1971-1986.
