LeBron James sends heartfelt message to son Bronny before debut NBA season

LeBron James has always been a strong advocate for his son, Bronny James, particularly as the latter faces scrutiny while pursuing his own path in the NBA. After the Los Angeles Lakers drafted Bronny as the 55th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, many questioned whether LeBron’s influence played a role in his son’s selection.

This sparked skepticism and criticism, with some fans doubting Bronny’s ability to succeed in the league.

In response, LeBron didn’t hesitate to defend his son. He shared a video of Bronny‘s training on Instagram, sending a clear message to silence the naysayers. LeBron emphasized his belief in Bronny’s work ethic and potential, showcasing his unwavering support as both a father and a mentor.

“Keep working, kid, and (expletive) all the hate/noise! You know your personal legend! THEY DON’T KNOW YOU!” LeBron wrote.

Didn’t impress in Summer League

LeBron has often spoken about his dream of sharing the NBA court with his son, but Bronny‘s Summer League performance wasn’t as dominant as some had hoped, leaving his future on the Lakers’ main roster uncertain for now.

Despite this, the dream of playing together remains alive, even if Bronny’s exact role is still being determined.

“My dream has always just been to put my name out” Bronny said back in May.

“To make a name for myself, and get to the NBA, which is everyone’s end goal that’s here. I never thought about just playing with my dad, but of course he’s brought it up a couple of times. But yeah, I don’t think about it much.

“When I get there, I don’t think it would just be like, me and my dad. I would be happy about getting into the league instead of me thinking about playing with my dad. But that’s not my mindset at all. I’m just trying to put in the work and see where it takes me.”

Meanwhile, after scoring 1,984 points last season, LeBron’s career total stands at 48,636 points-40,474 from regular season play and 8,162 from the postseason.
