When a 72-year-old Indian grandma gave 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡 to a new𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 boy, she defied all expectations and became the world’s oldest mother.
After decades of trying, Daljinder Kaur’s wish came true when she gave 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡 to her son via IVF in Haryana, India.
Daljinder and her husband conceived their 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥, rmaan, with medical assistance after nearly losing hope after 46 years of trying.
It’s now or never—The couple had previously been unable to afford fertility treatment, but when Daljinder was in her 60s, they decided to go forward with it.
“When we saw the [IVF] advertisement, we thought we should give it a try because I desperately wanted to have my own 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦,” she explained.
Everything is feasible!
And, after two years and three rounds of IVF at a fertility clinic in Haryana, their 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 son rmaan was 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧, weighing a “hearty and healthy” 3.9lbs, according to his parents.
Rmaan is still somewhat underweight at 15lbs, but Daljinder believes it is due to her age.
“He’s quite thin, and even diapers of his age don’t fit him,” she explained.
“He could be thin because I didn’t properly feed him.” I quit breastfeeding him when he was three months old because my milk wasn’t forming properly.”
He’s still a very active and cheerful 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦, according to her.
“No matter where I am, he’ll come crawling to me,” she explained. “I adore him. He is a cheerful boy who grins at everyone.”
Unfortunately, she stated that having a 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 has caused her health to deteriorate. She claims to have joint pain and high blood pressure.
“I’ve been on my hands and knees since he started crawling, and it’s difficult.” My body can’t take it anymore. It’s been more difficult than I anticipated.
“My blood pressure has dropped, and I get tired easily now.” “I’ve seen several doctors, but they only give me medicines and a diet plan,” she explained to Cover Press sia.
“I’m worried about rmaan.” “I have to look after my health, but I also have to look after rmaan,” she continued.
