An organic dairy farm set in the rolling countryside of Bruton in Somerset has restored a charming 18th-century cottage in its grounds to give guests a slice of rural English countryside charm. The cottage, aptly named Lilac Wisterias, has been lovingly restored with a sensitivity to its original features, including the vaulted exposed oak beams, inglenook fireplace and flagstone floors. An old bull pen has been converted into a charming open-plan studio for early morning yoga, crafting or reading.

It is sparing in its decoration which creates a wonderful sense of space and openness. Expansive, floor-to-ceiling windows have been installed to welcome floods of natural light, as well as a woodburner to counter chilly evenings.
