LeBron James’ warning ahead of new NBA season: I don’t get tired

The basketball legend said he doesn’t get tired in a workout video posted to social media.

NBA-legend LeBron James said that he doesn’t feel tired ahead of his age-39 season.

The Los Angeles Lakers small forward made his professional debut in 2003, but 20 years later he remarked that he still feels fit enough to compete.

James posted an average of 28.9 points, 8.3 rebounds and 6.8 assists in 55 games in 2022/23 and was an All-Star for the 19th time, proving that he is still just as deadly as ever before.

And in a video posted to social media, the 4-time champion ensured that nobody was under false impressions of his ability to continue.

Known for investing lots of time and money into looking after his body, James was filmed working out hard ahead of the upcoming season starting in October.

“Don’t mean nothing,” the 38-year-old said. “Tired is only in the mind. You tell yourself you’re tired, you’re going to be tired. I don’t get tired.”

Lakers looking to return to form

James enters his fifth season with the Lakers and will seek to propel them back to the play-offs glory following a disappointing run post-2020.

After their triumph over the Miami Heat during the COVID season, the Lakers finished 7th, 11th (missing out all together) and 7th again in 2022/23.

The Lakers did qualify for the play-offs and eliminated the Memphis Grizzlies in six games, then dumped out the Golden State Warriors in six before being swept by the Denver Nuggets in the Conference Finals.

The famous Los Angeles side will look to go one-step further in 2023/24 by making the NBA Finals after acquiring Gabe Vincent from the Heat on an $11m per year contract.
