The new mother revealed the peculiar response she received after sharing a video online of her holding her twin 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren. Alexis LaRue, 22, snapped after posing with her seven-month-old twins; onlookers were shocked by their size.
Alexis from Minneapolis-Saint Paul, Minnesota, weighed 49 kg and was 5 feet 3 inches tall before getting pregnant. At week 38 of her pregnancy, Alexis’ weight increased to 82 kg.
Camila and Elena, Alexis’ twins, came into the world in March weighing a very light 6 lb 7 oz. However, at the age of seven months, each of them had gained an astounding 21 pounds. These adorable infants have experienced an amazing growth journey after only seven months, having tripled their 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡 weight.
They seem to genuinely enjoy tasting different meals, said Alexis. Every time I eat, they always give me the impression that I should share. When Alexis found out she was expecting her 23-year-old fiancé Leo Mejia at the age of 21, she was overjoyed.
She continued, “Becoming a mother was my one life goal, therefore I was thrilled when it came true. At six weeks pregnant, I had my first ultrasound, and there were two little sacs visible on the screen.
I was both surprised and thrilled to discover that neither of our families had twins.
Infants weighing 5 pounds or less are rather common in the twin community, the stay-at-home mother continued.Funny thing is, I didn’t really think about it when I uploaded the video. Before I started reading the comments, I was unaware of how big my kids were.
Astonished onlookers said that the 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren were just eight years old and that they would be higher than you if they were to stand on top of one another. Alexis has also been accused of doctoring her movies or using a filter to enlarge the women, something she vehemently refutes.
I can see that some of the films’ perspectives greatly exaggerate the size of the characters, the woman said.
“Recently, I published a video of me weighing and measuring the infants so that viewers could see how big they really are.
