The US sporting world went haywire ahead of the instate Colorado clash. While it was expected to come out as an exciting sports exhibition, it ended up as controversial game. A particular call from the college referee raised the eyebrows of many sports fans including LeBron James. Following that, the Los Angeles Lakers superstar took to his social media and furiously expressed his distress. Minutes after King James’ message, his NBA ‘nephew’ also chipped in with his support.

The hype for the college game between the Colorado Buffaloes and Colorado State Rams skyrocketed way before the kickoff. Especially, the head coaches of both team began their verbal volleys much ahead of game. Moreover, Buff’s coach Deion Sanders and team organized a hype party ahead of the game to attract the audience. Notably, Dwyane ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Lil Wayne were present at the event. While the fans expected an instate clash, it ended up making fans furious.

Stepping into the field, the Buffs had an upper hand over the State Rams as they won two games already. However, the Rams weren’t ready to give away the game easily, as they carried a more physical and aggressive game play. More into the aggressive game, CSU’s Henry Blackburn left Buffs’ Travis Hunter on the ground in a wild collision. In return, the refs called only an unnecessary roughness penalty. Even though the Buffs won the game, the particular call left the fans in disbelief. On top of it, a recent report revealed that Hunter would two weeks of game time.

Following the ref’s call, LeBron James took to his X, formerly known as Twitter, released his steam off. He wrote, “Like I don’t understand the difference between targeting and what I just witnessed.” He further referred to the ref’s call as,  “That was blatant and uncalled for IMO!.” Moments after James’ tweet, his NBA nephew, Tari Eason also took to X and wrote, “He’s a dirtbag for that late hit.”

Notably, Houston Rockets‘ rising star Eason became James’ NBA nephew for peculiar reason.

Moreover, Rockets star’s mother gave out a wholesome reaction when James referred Eason as his nephew.

During the 2023 Summer League, Tari Eason represented the Rockets and put up a great show for the fans. Several video clips of the star went viral for his athleticism. Especially, one of the videos caught the Lakers superstar’s eyes. He took to the comments and wrote, “yeaaaahhhhhh nephew!! Punch Heeemmm.” In response to it, Eason’s mom, Teroya took to X and wrote, “Omg omg is this real?!!? HOLY FU**ING WHATTTT?!?!?! We made it 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦!!!! Your hero knows your name! I’m dyingggggg.
