Angelina Jolie is happy that her son Pax Thien came to Italy to support her on the set of “Without Blood”.
According to People, Angelina Jolie hired her two sons Pax Thien and Maddox to work on her latest film project directed by her. In the latest issue of the magazine, the star said: “We get along in our work. The crew is the best when it makes everyone feel like a family. So everything is very natural.”

Pax Thien plays the role of assistant director, in place of her mother to communicate with other parts of the film crew. In June, the Vietnamese-𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 boy appeared on the set, wearing a walkie-talkie, often helping his mother carry things, exchanging work with the crew. “The 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren work very hard. I am very proud because they are independent, individual,” Jolie told People.
Without Blood is Jolie’s fifth time in the director’s chair. The screenplay is based on the novel of the same name by Italian writer Alessandro Baricco. The original story follows Nina, who lost her family at the age of four to war. At the age of 50, she reunites with her benefactor who spared her life and reminisces about 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥hood tragedies.
Since 2017, Pax has supported her mother on the set of the project First They Killed My Father (2017) in Cambodia. He helps the crew take photos of behind-the-scenes scenes and activities.
Pax Thien revealed that he is a boy who cares about his mother and younger siblings. Every time he goes out, he always helps his mother carry things and pay attention to her surroundings.
In an interview with Indian Vogue in mid-2020, Jolie said about her Vietnamese-𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 son: “Pax Thien is like the center and source of strength for the family. I am always grateful for the opportunity to be a mother.”
Recently, Pax rarely appeared with his mother at major events. He did not participate in Jolie’s series of promotional activities for the blockbuster Eternals. Some sources close to the actor said that Pax Thien was busy preparing for life after graduating from high school in June 2021. However, his family did not reveal whether he decided to continue his studies at university.

Pax Thien (𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡 name: Pham Quang Sang), was 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 on November 29, 2003 in Ho Chi Minh City. After he was 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧, Pax was abandoned by his mother – drug addict and unmarried. He was taken to Tam Binh Orphanage Protection Center (HCMC). In January 2007, Angelina Jolie applied for adoption in Vietnam.
The actress completed the procedure to bring Pax back to the US to adopt in March of that year. Jolie and Pitt named their 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥 Pax Thien with the meaning “peaceful sky”. She did not plan to adopt more 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren in Southeast Asia because she already has Maddox (of Cambodian origin). However, the actor changed his mind after reading several books about the war between the US and Vietnam.
Jolie and Brad Pitt have six 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren together, three adopted and three biological. After the breakup, the actress won custody of the 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren. Brad Pitt has visitation rights on certain days of the month. The star couple’s three adopted 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren have graduated from high school.
The eldest Maddox came to Korea to study Biochemistry at Underwood International University (under Yonsei University) in Seoul, Korea. Zahara became a student at Spelman University, the most prestigious educational institution in the United States, chosen by many black girls.
