It’s hard to beat Gigi Hadid’s massive Versace puffer on the Met Gala 2022 red carpet, but she brought an equally dramatic look to this year’s theme honoring late designer Karl Lagerfeld.

Gigi Hadid is well versed when it comes to fashion. She’s one of the most expensive supermodels on the planet right now, and if working closely with some of the world’s most prestigious designers wasn’t enough, she’s recently co-hosted Next. In Fashion is a reality television show revolving around fashion designers on Netflix.

At this year’s Met Gala 2023 with the theme “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty”, fans are curious as to what unique makeup style Gigi will bring at the biggest event on the planet.

In this event, Gigi trusted and delivered the makeup look to the famous Vietnamese-𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 Hollywood makeup artist:  Patrick Ta . She asked Patrick Ta to use an attractive pearly white and silver eyeshadow. To fulfill Gigi’s wish, Patrick Ta used shimmery silver eyeshadow from the Maybelline The Nudes palette.

Then, the male makeup artist used an eyeshadow brush with a short, thick tip to blend the brown color and a palette for the lower lash line and eye socket to create depth. Patrick Ta also used Chill Girl Color Tattoo Cream eyeshadow to hit the top of the eye. He also highlighted two small pearls under Gigi’s eyes as an elegant highlight.

To add sharpness to the eyes, Patrick Ta chose a black Tattoo Studio Ink Pen eyeliner to draw a cat eye eyeliner. Patrick explains why he and Gigi decided to choose this eyeliner look as follows:

Finally, Patrick used Maybelline SuperStay Vinyl Ink Liquid Lipstick in Captivated nude tones to balance the makeup with the highlight of sparkling silver eyes. As for the hairstyle, Gigi’s hairstylist Laura Polko styled her waist-length mermaid wavy hair and tied the top half to help show off her facial features.
