Revealed: LeBron James torn ligaments, compressing pain during the Playoffs?

Reputable news sites say LeBron James is likely to have surgery to treat the injury and will fully recover within 2 months.

After doing all he could to bring the Los Angeles Lakers to the Western Finals, LeBron James is about to enter one of the most important summers of his career.

He will make an official decision on whether to retire or continue playing. Besides, James is likely to have to go to the operating table due to the pain of playing during the recent NBA Playoffs campaign.

Reputable journalist Shams Charania of The Athletic reports that LeBron James tore a ligament in the right ankle area. To completely treat and return to the best condition, the 38-year-old superstar may need surgery.

In the near future, the Lakers medical team will take a closer look at LeBron’s injury status. Then the parties will agree on the method of treatment. If on the operating table, James will have to stop all sports activities for 2 months.

This injury of LeBron James first appeared at the end of February in the game against the Dallas Mavericks. The camera lens caught LeBron exclaiming ” I just heard something break ” while lying in the yard.

Although he continued to play and led the Lakers to one of the best comeback victories in club history, an injury kept James out for nearly a month, missing a total of 13 games.

When he returned at the end of March, LeBron shared that he was advised by many doctors that he needed to have surgery and rest for the rest of the season. But in the end, James decided to listen to another specialist, not going to the operating table and trying to get back on the field.

The Los Angeles Lakers superstar played for the rest of the 2022-23 season, averaging 25.3 points along with 7.6 rebounds and 6.1 assists in the last eight Regular Season games. In the Playoffs, LeBron scored 24.5 points – 9.9 rebounds – 6.5 assists per game.

Particularly in the Western finals series, the “king” averaged nearly triple-doubles with 27.8 points, 10 assists and 9.5 rebounds. Denver Nuggets.

Sharing after being eliminated with a score of 4-0, only the third time he was “sweeped” in his entire career, James said that he was not in the best shape because of injury.

“I knew I was going to suffer, have to deal with not being able to be myself due to the injury. But I also know that I will be able to get through and finish the season instead of having to retire early ,” LeBron told ESPN.

“I will go for an MRI to see what condition the ligament is in, see if it recovers or if there is no progress at all. After I have the results, I will calculate the next steps. Let’s wait and see.”
