The Miami Heat emerged winners in the NBA 2K simulation, pipping the Denver Nuggets in Game 7 with a 4-3 record.
The Heat took Games 1 and 2, while the Nuggets responded with a Game 3 and 4 win. The matchup goes with both teams taking a game each before the Heat close out the series in Game 7.
What’s interesting is the fact that the Heat will be scoring 130+ points in four of those games. They have hit the 130-mark just thrice so far this season.
As far as the reads on the post go, fans from both camps seem to be fairly invested, as it crossed 2.5 million views at the time of writing.
The Heat Have Beaten The Nuggets Just Once In The Last Five Seasons
Miami has not had the greatest of wins against the Nuggets. They only have one win to show for in their last 10 encounters. This season, they lost one at home and one away against Denver.
That said, the Heat has the edge with their postseason experience. Erik Spoelstra has seen the team in the Finals a few times and knows a thing or two about championship runs.
Even Nuggets coach Mike Malone wasn’t underestimating the Heat. “As I told our team, forget the #8 seed stuff. They beat Milwaukee 4-1 and they had the most wins in the NBA this year,” he told the media ahead of the matchup.
“They beat Boston 4-3 and they were up 3-0, the team with the second most wins this year. When you get to the NBA Finals, it’s not about seeding anymore. And for those that are thinking this is going to be an easy series, I don’t even know what to say to you, people. This is going to be the biggest challenge of our lives. It’s the NBA Finals.”
Whether they can be the offensive powerhouse as the NBA 2K simulation suggests, only time will tell if that’s enough against the formidable Nuggets.
